J Music: JoJo Performs “Demonstrate” Live at NYFW

I wish her label would properly support this single because it should be playing on urban radio across the US!!! I say it every time I do a Jojo post, but this girl has true talent. She tweeted her frustration a few days ago (now deleted), but I hope she starts getting the exposure she deserves.

JoJo showcased her new single “Demonstrate” live for the first time during Fashion Week at the Metropolitan Pavillion in New York on Tuesday. Strutting down the runway in a short black dress and stilettos, the 21-year-old singer set the sexy mood before the Front Row fashion show at STYLE360.

J Music: Tori Kelly, New Pop Artist

“Confetti” – Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly may look familiar as she made it through to Hollywood Week on Season 9 of American Idol — and she’s a YouTube Sensation!!!  She also appeared on America’s Most Talented Kids and was signed to Geffen Records at the age of 12.

Watch Tori Kelly, Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola cover “Princess of China,” originally by Coldplay & Rihanna, below. This cover is amazing.

J Music: Rozzi Crane, New Pop Artist

I first came across Rozzi Crane while watching her cover with Scott Hoying of Pentatonix (♥). I really like her tone and her range really surprised me.  As you can tell from the video, she’s kind of a big deal.

The 20-year-old San Francisco native is the first artist signed by Adam Levine’s (Maroon 5) new record label, 222 Records.

“The first time I heard Rozzi sing I knew I had to find a way to be a part of it. I didn’t have to think about it. She’s THAT incredible” – Adam Levine

Below is her cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” and “Tracks of My Tears” by the Miracles.

UPDATE:

J Music: Mylah

I just came across her on YouTube.  Very few original songs have me intrigued enough to listen past 2 minutes — Mylah’s song “Currency” did that.  Catchy. R&B. Go girl!

Mylah was featured on Making the Band 3, served as a backgrond vocalist on a Keyshia Cole tour, and appeared in Tyler Perry’s 2009 movie I Can Do Bad All By Myself. The singer-songwriter is currently busy writing and working on her career.
